Morley is set to dazzle once again this year with the annual Christmas light switch on. This popular family event takes place on Thursday 21 November and will see Queen Street sparkle with a host of Christmas themed entertainment from Mary and Joseph arriving on a donkey, accompanied by angels and shepherds and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
The street festival starts at 6pm with an array of funfair rides, food and drink outlets, mobile bar and hog roast. The majority of local shops and eateries are staying open late too, so why not join in the festive spirit.
This year's Christmas lights will officially be switched-on at 7pm by legendary entertainer, Billy Pearce and our very own Francesca Macduff-Varley from BCC's hit show, The Apprentice.
Regardless of the weather Christmas is coming to Morley with an indoor Christmas Fair on Saturday 30 November at Morley Town Hall. Come and pick up some Christmas presents whilst enjoying carols sung by local school children. Join us for a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine or visit the real reindeer right here in Morley!
